12 and 13 May 2008
Today we trained twice and we made some videos:
Work in hand
Longeing: transition walk-halt
The exercise to halt on the longe line is going very well to the left. To the right he tends to keep walking too lang, so the command is not ‘whoa’ but ‘whoa, today please?’
He has practised trot on the longe line four times now:
Straight with bending
he has been doing this exercise for the third time now. He is concentrating really well and he’s thinking before he takes a step.
Tuesday, May 13th 2008
trained twice today, once in the morning and once at the end of the day. We did the following exercises in the below order:
- Lowering the head in standing
- stelling to the left and to the right in standing
- stepping under (in hand) to the left and to the right
- on the circle (longe line) in walk to the left and to the right
- the same in trot
- shoulder in, in walk at the wall
This takes us about 15 minutes. This morning after training we walked through the forest for the first time. In the afternoon we repeated the ‘washing-area ritual’.
And a few times walking free in the inside arena, getting brushed, eating hay and sweetfeed and the day is over already.
