Louise Binge & Boston passed Grade 1

ST Mastery student Louise Binge from South Africa passed Liberty 1 with her gelding Boston and with that Touchstone, she passed all 5 Touchstones in Grade 1 in the ST Evaluation Program!

Congratulations!

Louise has some great insights to share about the Mastery and Evaluation Program, and how it has helped her on her wonderful ST journey:

“My name is Louise and my partner in this incredible ST journey is Boston, we are from South Africa.

I first encountered ST in November 2016 where I watched Zaneta Georgiades instruct at a workshop. I was instantly hooked and immediately joined the ST Home Study Course, which made me hungry for more, so in February 2017 I joined the Full Mastery ST Course and had my first lesson with Zaneta in March. I naïvely told Zaneta that ST has blown me away and that I want to be an ST instructor, Zaneta must have chuckled under her breath! I had no idea what kind of journey I was about to embark on-maybe that is a good thing!

At the beginning of the Mastery programme, the emails that Marijke sent out were fantastic at keeping me on track and motivated me to get up at 4:30am to study to keep up. I started to learn so much about myself (not always easy) and things about horses that I had never even thought about (a little embarrassing as I had been riding for almost 40 years).

When I started to submit my Touchstones the feedback was incredible and so in-depth that it gave me a lot to work on. It is basically a lesson on paper and you can sit and watch your video and go through the comments step by step – invaluable.

The ST community must be the most unique one in the horse world, everyone is so encouraging and helpful and I always feel safe to ask questions without being judged. In South Africa, we have such a great ST tribe headed by the one and only, Zaneta. Anyone who has ever met Zaneta will attest to her passion, wisdom, enthusiasm and her fantastic lessons – guaranteed to always stretch you and your horse, in every aspect. She makes you go where you didn’t know you could.

The ST programme has been of huge benefit to myself and my horse; physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally; our bond and level of communication is something I never knew was possible. Liberty has been a particular challenge as I never knew it existed – wow! what an eye opener!!

I have joined the restart programme and I have enjoyed going through all the theory again, this time with a better and higher level of understanding – lots of aha moments.

If you are thinking about joining the rest of us on the ST journey – do it, but hold onto your hat, it is one hell of a ride, but something you will never regret. Thank you for Marijke and Marc for such an incredible ST programme.”

Wow congratulations Louise!! So well done! How awesome that you are close to Zaneta – I am so jealous…! I do so recognize what you say about you learning ‘things about horses that I had never even thought about (a little embarrassing as I had been riding for almost 40 years)’ – I think most of us have had that same feeling. Then we can do two things: I am too embarrassed so I just say I know better and I quit, or we learn modesty and we learn an awesome lot! What a journey! Big hug, also for Boston x
